Whole Foods in Austin, Texas is being accused of a lot more than charging someone’s whole paycheck to shop there this week after a gay pastor claims the cake he ordered from the bakery to say “Love wins” came to him with the phrase “Love wins, F*g” on it.

The pastor has apparently filed a lawsuit, although Whole Foods steadfastly denies this and is standing by their employee. When local TV reporter Jenni Lee asked if the security footage was reviewed to determine what happened with this cake, she got these replies: The icing for the incendiary word does look different from the rest of the message. Then again, anyone from this area who shops at Whole Foods finds the entire story ridiculous to begin with.
Hoax or not, the media is going to run with this as a hate crime, even though the evidence is starting to look like it isn’t even real (like so many other fake hate crimes the media runs with before having a shred of evidence to back up any claims). Either way this will probably turn into one those national stories that takes up lots of space in the internet headlines to continue to push a politically correct agenda where other more important stuff should be instead. Like they do.
