For the Sheeple: Budweiser to Rename Its Beer “America” Until the Election
Everyone’s favorite gut swill just got a lot more patriotic:
Anheuser-Busch just decided to rename its flagship Budweiser beer to “America”.
The name change is only temporary from May 23rd to November 8th in order to quote, “inspire drinkers to celebrate America”.
Pandering to that end, they will also cover their beer cans and bottles in patriotic symbols like phrases from the Pledge of Allegiance (“Indivisible Since 1776”), the Statue of Liberty, and the like. Reuters even made a DUI joke about someone getting pulled over for “enjoying some nice cold freedom”.
Yes… because freedom isn’t free. It costs $10.97 for a 12-pack at Walmart.
What an Idiocracy level joke…
Surprising they aren’t going to get Barack Obama to do a commercial for it. Then again, a lot of people are probably going to want to get drunk just to deal with what’s about to go down this November.
