UN: Fukushima ‘Unlikely’ to Pose Health Risks (Even as Kids Are Diagnosed with Cancer)

The UN has come to the conclusion that the world shouldn’t really worry about negative health effects from the 2011 Fukushima nuclear meltdown.

UN: Fukushima ‘Unlikely’ to Pose Health Risks (Even as Kids Are Diagnosed with Cancer)

The 60th session of the United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effect of Atomic Radiation (UNSCEAR) has completed what they claim will be “the most comprehensive international scientific analysis of the information available to date” that concludes not only were there no immediate health risks from the meltdown but that,

“It is unlikely to be able to attribute any health effects in the future among the general public and the vast majority of workers.”

UNSCEAR joins the UN’s World Health Organization which similarly reported that, “radiation induced health impacts are likely to be below detectable levels.”

The nuclear meltdown at the Fukushima Dachaii Nuclear Power Plant that occurred following a major earthquake in March 2011 was estimated to have been the equivalent of 168 of the atomic bombs dropped on Hiroshima during World War II, and yet apparently, it’s of little concern.

These self-purported UN experts came to this conclusion even as more reports surfaced this week of even more Fukushima survivors being diagnosed with cancer. Apparently a total of 12 Fukushima adolescents were diagnosed with thyroid cancer, and another 15 are suspected of suffering from other types of cancers.

Last summer, a report came out that of 38,000 Fukushima children tested, 36 percent presented with abnormal growths (cysts and nodules). Approximately 174,000 children and young people under the age of 18 lived around the Fukushima nuclear power plant at the time of the meltdown.

So large clusters of children who lived near one of the two worst nuclear meltdowns of all time are coming down with cancer but there’s no health risks? Okay…

At least the UNSCEAR experts admit in their report that more research must be done regarding the full effects ionizing radiation has on children because it can negatively impact kids worse than adults (I’m no United Nations scientific expert or anything, but the notion that radiation can hurt smaller developing people more than larger, developed people seems like a common sense conclusion to me…).

This reminds me a lot of how, from time to time, the mainstream media will report that fish off the coast of California have been tested and found to have carried radiation from Fukushima across the ocean in the years following the meltdown. Like a little bio-accumulating ionizing nuclear radiation in your tuna with a half-life of 30 YEARS (for cesium-137) is just fine and dandy.

In the meantime, Fukushima is clearly still spewing radiation out across the northern hemisphere every single day. And reports have never stopped coming on how there on more radioactive leaks at the Fukushima plant and more Fukushima kids getting thyroid cancer and more fish being found contaminated by Fukushima radiation. U.S. water supply samples testing positive for Fukushima’s radioactive fallout in the form of Iodine-131, Cesium-134 and Cesium-137 will likely only continue. These reports, like tiny blips on the natural disaster radar, just keep piling up.

And it’s just a little bit in this fish and a little bit in that kelp and a little bit in those vegetables and a little bit found in milk from Washington to New Jersey and a little bit in some pollen and a little bit on the trade winds and a little bit in some fruit and a little bit and a little bit and a little bit more…

The Japanese College of Intravenous Therapy (JCIT) has completed studies on the effects of mega doses of the powerful antioxidant vitamin C and found it helped to fight free radical radiation damage in Fukushima workers after the meltdown. They sent letters with their findings to the Japanese government and the Tokyo Electric Power Company (TEPCO) which they claim have gone largely ignored (nothing to see here, move along…).

Governments and the mainstream media would have us believe a nuclear meltdown of this magnitude can happen with virtually no consequence to us or our environment, but like Santa Claus, though we’d all like to believe, it simply defies reality.

JCIT produced a video on their vitamin C findings. It’s definitely worth consideration:
