Highest Paid EPA Staffer Falsely Claimed to be a CIA Spy For More Than a Decade

John Beale, the top climate change expert in the United States, has lied for more than ten years about being a CIA spy.

Beale, the highest paid employee working for the Environmental Protection Agency, apparently lied because he just didn’t want to go to work on a regular basis.

Claiming to be a regular James Bond, he would call in to the agency saying that he had been called away on urgent missions, for example, because the Taliban were torturing his replacement in Pakistan.

He failed to turn up for work for an entire 18 month stretch at one point telling the agency he was part of  a multi-agency candidate security group’ during the election run up.

In reality he was jetting to London, and to California, and billing the government for the trip, in addition to getting his regular pay from the EPA.

The scam was only noticed when it became apparent that Beale was still receiving his full salary 18 months after he retired.

That a government agency fell for this is obscene. Nobody ever checked his story, nobody ever asked why this highly paid official wasn’t at work. Surely if he worked for the CIA it wouldn’t be common knowledge…yet his co-workers and bosses accepted without question his explanation.

Obviously the EPA is staffed by idiots.

If he can lie about this and get away with it what else has he lied about?

The data on climate change?

Anthropogenic global warming?

Everything this man did has to be checked, and the administrator at the EPA, Gina McCarthy, needs to be shown the door. How can this woman have run a department with a crucial member of staff off for over a year at a time?

Can you imagine yourself in that position and not asking questions?

Amazing.

Well at least we know where our tax dollars are going. They keep fantasists in luxury holidays and idiots in senior management positions. Some things never change.
