39 Of Obama’s Democratic buddies have backed a Republican Healthcare bill that the White House has admitted could ‘gut Obamacare’.
The bill sets out to bypass Obamacares’ minimum requirements for medical insurance. It has very little chance of becoming law but is seen as the most serious challenge yet to the hugely flawed Affordable Care Act.
Despite promises from the president that people would be able to keep their existing health coverage, millions have found themselves waking up to letters telling them their health insurance has been cancelled because the policies didn’t meet the strict requirements laid down by the Affordable Care Act.
The bill posed by the Republicans would allow insurance companies to continue selling coverage that does not meet the Affordable Care Act guidelines.
