Stranger Walks Into 11 Yr Old Girls Room Wearing No Pants, Gets Shot 6 Times By Homeowner

Donald Oliver, 38, is charged with first-degree burglary, fourth-degree assault and heroin possession. He’s accused of entering a home in south Louisville, KY around 7 a.m. Sunday morning through a window.

Oliver went into an 11-year-old girl’s bedroom, undressed and then went into the kitchen in only his underwear, according to an arrest report.

A male homeowner demanded Oliver leave and got into a physical fight with him, injuring his hand, police said. He yelled to his girlfriend for help. She fetched a gun from the bedroom which he then used to shoot Oliver multiple times.

Oliver was taken to the University of Louisville Hospital on Sunday morning before being booked later in the day into Metro Corrections.

Oliver, who court records show lives one block away from the home, pleaded not guilty Monday in Jefferson District Court. He remains in jail in lieu of a $50,000 cash bond.

The proud mother of the girl says her daughter did everything right. Despite the danger, Burton says her daughter didn’t panic. “She was really smart,” Burton said.

“She hid under the cover, turned her light down, turned her volume down on her phone to text me. When she peeked under the cover to see where he was at, she got up and ran away. She went to the back room. And I think that was really brave and smart of her.”

The homeowner is not expected to be charged.
