Sunspots AR1785 and AR1787 are still Earth facing and have inherently unstable magnetic fields. What’s strange is that they are so quiet.

Sunspots of this massive size with unstable fields are not usually so shy in showing what they are capable of. Although they have the energy for strong flares, activity within the spots remains low.

AR1789 which is almost Earth facing is also showing low levels of activity within the sunspot.

Todays sunspot number is 143 and NOAA is keeping the estimate for M-Class flares at 55% and for X-Class at 10% over the next 24 hours.

There are no coronal holes present at this time.
