Fear Porn? State Dept. Issues Warning Not to Go to Europe This Summer or the Terrorists Will Get You

And the mainstream media and the people diligently freak out.

The State Department just issued a warning for US travelers heading to Europe this summer that pretty much anywhere you go, the terrorists might get you (emphasis theirs, not mine):

As part of the State Department’s continuous efforts to provide Americans traveling abroad with information about relevant events, we are alerting U.S. citizens to the risk of potential terrorist attacks throughout Europe, targeting major events, tourist sites, restaurants, commercial centers and transportation. The large number of tourists visiting Europe in the summer months will present greater targets for terrorists planning attacks in public locations, especially at large events. This Travel Alert expires August 31, 2016.

The alert goes on to specifically mention the European Soccer Championship in France from June 10 – July 10, for which France has extended its “state of emergency” to cover both that and the Tour de France race. It also mentions the Catholic Church’s World Youth Day in Krakow, Poland July 26-31.

Restaurants, commercial centers, transportation, plus major events and tourist sites. Throughout Europe. Yeah. That about sums it up.

And the mainstream media and the people diligently freak out:

The alert doesn’t expire until the last day of August, so the whole of summer is covered. Not sure what happens that makes September 1st, 2016 so suddenly safe, but there you go.
