Some 52 countries openly admit to manipulating the weather, including the United States. Now China will reportedly be spending nearly $30 million on a controversial cloud seeding project that involves shooting salt-and-mineral-filled chemical bullets into the sky to make more rain.

The plan is that the chemical mixture will lower the temperature of the clouds, forcing them to build up moisture faster, speeding up the process to creating rain.

China already faces some horrible air pollution as it is; now apparently the rain will be filled with chemicals as well. Can’t imagine what the crops there are like nutrition-wise…
