Benghazi Anniversary: Known Benghazi Liar Susan Rice to Brief Congress on Syria

Benghazi Anniversary: Known Benghazi Liar Susan Rice to Brief Congress on Syria

Do you sometimes feel as if America has fallen into the Twilight Zone? First, we have a (Less than) Million Muslim march coming up this Wednesday, September 11. Second, we have the United States Senate voting to aid jihadi terrorists al-Qaeda in Syria on Wednesday. Finally, we’re getting the word that known Benghazi liar and National Security Adviser Susan Rice will brief Congress on Syria on Wednesday, September 11, the anniversary of the attacks in Benghazi, Libya that left four Americans dead.

According to CNS:

On Monday, Rice will give a speech about Syria to the New America Foundation, then speak to the Congressional Black Caucus and participate in a classified briefing that the administration will provide to members of Congress, the Associated Press has reported. She will then participate in another classified briefing for Congress on Wednesday–which will be the twelfth anniversary of the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks on the U.S. homeland and the one year anniversary of the terrorist attacks on the State Department and CIA facilities in Benghazi, Libya.

Speaking on CBS’ Face the Nation, House Intelligence Chairman Mike Rogers (R-MI) said that having Rice brief Congress about Syria on the anniversary of the attack that she lied about on five Sunday shows last year is emblematic of the Obama administration’s bumbling approach to making its case for intervention in Syria.

Rogers, who supports military action against Syria, says that Obama hasn’t made an effective case for declaring war on Syria.

“The president hasn’t made the case,” said Rogers said. “Again, it’s confounding. They’re going to send up this week–think about this, this tells you the relationship with Congress, and it’s not great: They’re sending up Susan Rice to brief Congress on the year anniversary of Benghazi. And they’re trying to win votes. I mean the credibility gap there is huge.”

Then may I ask a question Mr. Rogers? If he hasn’t made the case, why are you supporting military action? I’ll say this is part of the bumbling of the warmongers in Washington.

Rogers said, “The credibility gap here is huge.”

I agree it is, but so is the credibility of those in Washington supporting siding with America’s enemies, especially on September 11!

This story just keeps getting more Orwellian the further we go along.

So far, it isn’t looking like Obama doesn’t have the votes to engage in war with Syria, and the anniversary of Benghazi isn’t helping either. The Hill reports:

The first anniversary of the Benghazi, Libya terror attack is making it more difficult for President Obama to win support for a military strike against Syria.

Tea Party lawmakers say the Obama administration lacks credibility on Syria because of the Benghazi attack.

“I can’t discuss the possibility of the U.S. involvement in Syria’s civil war without also talking about Benghazi,” Rep. Jeff Duncan (R-S.C.) told Secretary of State John Kerry during a testy exchange at Wednesday’s House Foreign Affairs hearing.

“The administration has a serious credibility issue with the American people due to the unanswered questions surrounding the terrorist attack in Benghazi almost a year ago,” Duncan said.

Throw in the fact that the issue in Syria has absolutely nothing to do with the United States, the Obama administration is still being questioned about Benghazi, and yet, Obama trots out Vietnam traitor John Kerry and known liar Susan Rice to make his case for military strikes and you have the making for a “No” vote on a war with Syria, or at least you should have that.
