Adam Kokesh Arrested, Home Raided Over Open Carry YouTube Video

Police from various departments set up road blocks and told neighbors to stay indoors while they raided the home of Adam Kokesh and took him prisoner late Tuesday night.

Over a month ago Adam Kokesh cancelled the armed march on Washington DC, reportedly due to logistical concerns following his arrest at Philadelphia’s “Smokedown Prohibition”.  In multiple interviews Adam mentioned that he had seen flaws in such a centralized protest after experiencing the tactics of the police state in Philadelphia.

Despite this cancellation, Kokesh still participated in civil disobedience on the 4th of July, only instead of a march, it was a YouTube video of him loading a shotgun at “Freedom Plaza” in Washington DC.  As soon as the video was posted, police were sent to the scene and immediately told reporters that they were considering prosecution.

In the past 48 hours Kokesh admitted to the media that the gun was in fact real and that he understood he was breaking multiple laws.  Almost immediately a warrant was issued for his arrest and police shut down an entire neighborhood to conduct the armed raid.

FOX 5 has confirmed that “U.S. Park Police along with Herndon Police are serving a search warrant at the home of Adam Kokesh, a pro-gun activist who was seen on a YouTube video posted on July 4th loading a shotgun in Freedom Plaza.Roads have been blocked off near the area of the 1500 block of ******* in Herndon and residents have been told to stay indoors while police serve the warrant.”

Friends and supporters of Adam Kokesh have set up a call flood which they are asking other supporters to join. A Facebook notice with this message was posted by supporters: Adam Kokesh’s home was raided tonight by Herndon Police & US Parks Police, details are still fuzzy.

Herndon VA Police Lieutenant Moore says Herndon Police were only assisting Parks Police in the raid, it was a federal warrant and VA Police are not taking Adam into Custody… If you want to call them anyway, (703) 435-6846

The National Park Police executed the warrant, they are pleading ignorance due to a shift change. Call 202-610-7500 until the idiot on the other end figures out what the other hand is doing.

It has also been rumored that members of Adams crew were also arrested in the raid, but that has yet to be confirmed.  If you have any more information on this situation please comment below.
