‘You’re Gonna Get Shot’: NYPD Warns People Not to Buy These iPhone Cases Shaped Like Handguns

The NYPD’s 112th Precinct sent out this Tweet yesterday:

Considering the police state we live in where unarmed people get shot because officers supposedly mistake them for having weapons when they actually don’t having anything at all, having a pretend gun iPhone case that looks like a real gun seems like a really, really bad idea.

Why people would want to walk around holding guns up to their heads is another matter. It’s not that people shouldn’t have the right to own this gun-shaped iPhone case; it’s just that, if you live in modern-day America (aka Police State, USA), it’ll probably get you killed. Real fast.

In fact, former NYPD officer Joseph Giacalone told CBS New York, “You pull this thing out on a cop, they’re going to shoot you. I mean, it’s as simple as that.”

Can you imagine the headlines on that one? “Woman Gunned Down for Talking on Gun-Shaped Phone…”

Seems like the company producing those is just begging for a lawsuit. Then again, as one Twitter user responded:
