X3 Flare From Sunspot AR1890
On November 5th at 22:12 UT, AR1890 erupted producing an X3-class flare. This gave rise to a rare magnetic crochet. This is a disturbance in the Earths magnetic field, and it only occurs under quite limited conditions.

AR1890 is a large sunspot, and it has the energy to produce further X-class flares. NOAA estimates the chances of this at 10% over the next 24 hours with a 45% chance of M-class flares during the same period.
A coronal hole on the Earth side of the Sun is spewing a solar wind that will reach earth on November 7-8th.
