WTF: College Student Making Bank Selling Her Positive Pregnancy Tests — No Questions Asked — on Craigslist

We all know the economy is tough these days for struggling young adults. With fewer job prospects, being an indebted college student has to be worse, and being a pregnant college student even worse because of the prospect of feeding two.

But one pregnant college student is finding a way to make a lot of extra cash this Christmas season — selling her positive pregnancy tests — no questions asked — on Craigslist.

It reads:

Pregnancy Tests/Urine – $30

Very self explanatory. I am 6 months and I am providing a product in which the consumer is able to purchase positive pregnancy tests or urine for your own use. Whether you are using it for your own amusement such as a prank, or to blackmail the CEO of Apple who you are having an affair with I DON’T CARE AT ALL. This is an absolutely no questions asked type of deal tell me what you need I provide it for monetary exchange. I will not overcharge for the urine test but I will not be low balled either do not contact me if you are going to be cheap and difficult.”

Wow.

CBS47 sent an intern to meet up with the Craigslist poster undercover and reported:

The woman, who didn’t want to be identified, said she got into this after looking online for a job she could do while she was pregnant.

“I saw from other women and their experiences that it’s very easy… $200 in a day off, something I have to do no matter what,” the woman said.

“Me being in college working on a bachelor’s and needing all this money to pay for a degree, this was a no-brainer,” the woman said.

The woman said dozens of people contact her to meet up and some even travel from as far as Orlando, but she said she never asks what they do with the pregnancy tests.

Can you imagine how much b.s., fraud, and fake marriage proposals could be perpetrated with a fake pregnancy test??? In fact, is there any reason, other than a really mean prank, why anyone would buy positive pregnancy tests?
