Editor’s Note: This is the same guy who said he’d rather vote for “Dead Hillary” over Donald Trump.

When Donald Trump tells “2nd Amendment people” to rally against Hillary, leftists go berserk and accuse him of inciting an assassination attempt on her. When Bill Maher actually hopes for an assassination on Trump… crickets.
According to The Wrap, Maher made the quip during a stand-up performance at the DAR Constitution Hall in Washington, D.C. over the weekend, suggesting that if the race were too tight come November, someone may need to step up and take one for the team, John Hinckley-style.
“I’m nervous with this election,” Maher told the audience. “I saw the headline today: ‘Race tightening, Trump ahead in Ohio and Florida.’ If this race is even the week before the election, somebody is going to have to go out there… Why do you think they let Hinckley out?”
Maher’s assassination joke has received zero pushback from the left, and is just another step down into the gutter for the comedian that has compared Trump and sons to Nazis. Maher also joked of Trump’s death during a segment in March.
Though Maher has vehemently opposed Trump this election season, he did say that Democrats may have a tough time defeating him if they continue to skirt the truth on Islam.
“Donald Trump is not right — but he will win the election if the American people have to choose between his demagoguery and a party that won’t even say the words ‘Islamic terrorism,’” Maher wrote. “I think the Democrats could lose on that issue alone, especially if there’s another attack.”
