The news is flooded with tales of corruption, crime, and violence.

While it is enough to make one lose faith in humanity, it is important to remember there ARE good people out there – everywhere.

Amy Greco is one of those people.

When a man who is believed to have been driving under the influence crashed into a van carrying a family of six, Greco didn’t hesitate to take action.

The crash occurred on Monday in Huntington Beach, California, in front of a 24 Hour Fitness, reports NBC.

When she got to the van, the driver and passenger were barely conscious, and their four children – including a 5-month-old infant – were trapped in the back.

Greco broke the back window of the van and rescued the four children.

Witness Jonas Dimas recorded Greco’s brave rescue:

“She was the bravest of all of us who were standing here watching,” Dimas said. “She was definitely the bravest of them all.”

The family was exiting the parking lot Monday afternoon when Brandon Pauw, who was involved in a road rage crash just moments before, slammed his SUV into the van.

Pauw’s SUV crashed into a car at the intersection of Bolsa Chica Road and Warner Avenue, police said. He fled the scene, and eventually lost control and crashed into the minivan near Warner and Springdale Street, according to the LA Times.

Pauw was arrested for DUI, assault with a deadly weapon, and felony hit and run.

The family is expected to recover.

A statement from 24 Hour Fitness praised Greco and the other employees at the Huntington Beach location for intervening and helping the victims.

“We are very proud of our employees and their quick reaction to rescue the individuals involved in this incident. We wish a speedy recovery to the individuals recovering from this incident,” the statement read.

Greco insists she’s not a hero, but rather someone who happened to be at the right place at the right time.

“I would hope if I had children that somebody would do the exact same thing,” she said.
