[WATCH] Superhero 4-Year-Old Uses His Powers To Feed The Homeless

One four-year-old superhero has taken to the streets to use his superpowers for good. Austin Perine is a mild-mannered little boy from Birmingham, Alabama, however, once a week he turns into this alter ego: a superhero whose goal is feeding as many homeless people as possible.

Austin gives everyone a chicken sandwich and gives them a piece of advice. He tells them: “Don’t forget to show love.” TJ Perine, the sweet little boy’s father, says it all began a few months ago after he taught his son about homelessness. And it all began when they were watching a TV show about pandas. It showed a mama panda abandoning a baby, and TJ told his son the cub was now homeless.

“He says, ‘What’s homeless?’ I said, ‘It’s when you don’t have a home and sometimes you don’t have mom or dad around,'” said TJ.  That’s when Austin asked the million dollar question: “are people homeless?”

After hearing his father’s answer, the boy hero decided to put his entire allowance toward his goal to feed as many homeless as possible.

And now he’s got some help!

Burger King has offered Austin as many chicken sandwiches as he needs to try to feed all the homeless. But that isn’t all. Inspired by the boy’s kindness, others have donated money to the little superhero’s campaign and it is enough money to buy a lot more than meals.

Austin’s new plan is to use the money to build a rehab center for the homeless. “I want to have a location for people to have a second chance. I want them to be able to have the resources that they need in order to integrate themselves into the workforce and be a successful employee and get some insurance to be able to take care of themselves,” said Austin. “It’s helpful when superheroes – come from super parents,” he added.

When asked why he helps feed the homeless, Austin says “it’s just the right thing to do.”
