US Government Flexes Its Muscles By Staging Nuclear Tests On The Same Day As UN Disarmament Talks

The United States is set to test nuclear missiles on the very same day that the United Nations holds it’s talks on nuclear disarmament.

As heads of state and high ranking officials from around the globe meet in New York to work out how to free the world from nukes, the United States will be testing Intercontinental Ballistic Missiles.

The tests are set for the 22nd and 26th September, one the day after the International Day of Peace and the other on the day the disarmament talks take place.

“Instead of honoring the significance of these dates and working in good faith to achieve nuclear disarmament, the United States has chosen to schedule two tests of its Minuteman III Intercontinental Ballistic Missile on September 22 and September 26,” Rick Wayman of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation told TheDaily Times.

“We are disappointed that a test launch is scheduled for the same day as the High-Level Meeting on nuclear disarmament at the UN in New York,” Wayman said.

“These missiles are designed to carry nuclear warheads capable of killing thousands of times more people than the chemical weapons used in Syria,” he pointed out.

On August 6th and August 9th 1945 the United States became the first and only country to unleash nuclear weapons. The bombing of Hiroshima and Nagasaki effectively ended World War II but left a legacy that in some families is still apparent. Cancers, leukemia, birth defects and mental impairment were much higher in the children of families who were in Nagasaki and Hiroshima when the bombs dropped. (source)

In 2009 The Seattle Times published an article following the lives of some of the survivors who had settled in the United States. The scars both physical and mental will be with them until the day they die.

It’s amazing that with 365 days to chose from, the United States Government chooses the day of the disarmament talks. It looks to the world that once again the United States has decided that it’s above such things. That the United States does what the United States wants to do when it wants to do it.

This blatant snub shows the true colors of the Obama administration. This is the government equivalent of a drunken adolescent grabbing his crotch and gyrating his hips in front of a group of young girls.
