United Airlines Flights Grounded Over Flight Plan Hacking

So far the only explanation the airline has given the public, is that their planes didn’t have “proper dispatching information.”

Earlier this morning, all United Airlines flights in the US were grounded for less than an hour, but nobody really knows why. So far the only explanation the airline has given the public, is that their planes didn’t have “proper dispatching information.” While that vague explanation leaves a lot to be desired, some of the tweets posted by various passengers may fill in the blanks.

The plane’s flight systems had apparently been giving “random plans over and over.” While United Airlines has assured their passengers that the issue has been resolved and that departures have resumed, there’s been another alarming development. This incident has been accompanied with bogus bomb threats against five different airplanes, each one from a different airline including US Airways, Delta Air Lines, United Airlines, Volaris, and a Korean flight. Upon landing in Philadelphia, the US Airways flight was inspected by a bomb squad, but no explosives were found. These incidents are just the latest in a litany of bomb threats that have been issued against American flights in the past two weeks.

The question is, are these false threats, as well as the latest hacking incident, part of some elaborate prank? Are they a sign that a terrorist plot is afoot? Or do these strange events indicate something else entirely?
