TSA to allow some small knives in carry-on luggage

The US transport safety authority has said it will allow some small pocket knives aboard US flights for the first time since the 9/11 attacks.

The news that the TSA will allow some small knives into the passenger cabins of aircrafts has been challenged by flight attendants who fear the move will put them at risk of attack from passengers.

As of April 25th passengers will be able to board aircraft with blades shorter than 2.6 inches and narrower than 0.5 inches the authority said.

The new rules will also allow hockey and lacrosse sticks and billiard cues to be taken on board as carry on luggage.

This from the same people that think elderly passengers with colostomy bags and wheelchair bound three year olds are a risk to National security.
