TSA Operative Penetrates Newark Airport Security with Bomb, Cleared to Board
NEWARK — A TSA inspector that is part of a team of operatives was able to literally penetrate airport security at the Newark Airport on February 25th of this year.
The agent had an improvised explosive device (IED) strapped inside his pants as TSA staff and high-tech equipment failed to detect the explosive device.
The agent was then cleared to board a plane, signifying an epic fail and a hole in our airport security despite all of the naked body scanners and pat-downs that are taking place.
CBS New York reported, “Another agent carrying a fake IED in her carry-on – disguised within a doll – was stopped at a checkpoint, according to the report.
The news comes just days after the TSA announced a revision to its policy barring certain small knives, golf clubs and other items. The TSA said the reason for the revision to the small knives policy was to allow agents to focus on finding more significant threats like bombs.”
The Newark airport has over 1400 TSA personnel employed and is known to have loopholes in their security.
