Trump Doesn’t Fill Imaginary Race and Gender Quotas, HuffPo Expresses Outrage With Racist and Sexist Article

Stupidity on Warning Road Sign.

The Huffington Post is running a front-page story today that, well…I’ll just let you see for yourself, because I’m a bit speechless right now, and the article speaks for itself…

pale-male

The headline reads Donald Trump’s Proposed Cabinet Is Very White, And Very Male.

The author laments that Trump’s cabinet is “shaping up to be the least diverse in recent history” because, so far, he’s only chosen three people who are not white men:

Of the 13 people Trump has nominated for Cabinet positions, only Ben Carson (Housing and Urban Development), Elaine Chao (Transportation) and Betsy DeVos (Education) are not both white and male.

She continues:

There are still two Cabinet positions, Agriculture and Veterans Affairs, for which Trump has not nominated anyone. For Agriculture, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp (D-N.D.) has been mentioned as a front-runner.

Erm, the last time I checked, Sen. Heidi Heitkamp is…a woman.

And, the Huffington Post piece failed to mention that Trump’s pick for Small Business Administrator is…Linda McMahon, who is also a woman.

Is there a certain percentage of women and certain races that should be represented in a president’s cabinet? If so, who makes those determinations?

Things like, you know, the credentials, experience, conflicts of interest, political views, and other pertinent details about the people Trump is surrounding himself with are not mentioned at all in HuffPo’s piece.

It is solely about gender and race, because that is all that matters when it comes to filling the highest positions in government, right?

But we really can’t be too hard on HuffPo, can we? After all, it is the job of mainstream media pressitutes to keep us divided any way that they can. They can’t have us all coming together as humans to rally against big government corruption, now can they?

Call me crazy, but I’m far more concerned with the qualifications and agendas of the people Trump is selecting for his cabinet.

Here are four examples.

Rex Tillerson, Trump’s nominee for Secretary of State, is the man who initiated the entire era of fracking, a practice he first pushed for decades ago towards the beginning of his long career with ExxonMobil.

Steven Mnuchin, Trump’s pick for Treasury secretary, is a longtime banker, former Goldman Sachs executive, and former employee of George Soros. Mnuchin is a financier with deep roots on Wall Street and in Hollywood but no government experience. He was also chairman of OneWest Bank, which was mired in subprime mortgage foreclosure scandals…from which Mnuchin took profits in the millions.

Trump’s commerce secretary will be Wilbur Ross, a billionaire investor who worked as senior managing director of Rothschild Inc.

Trump nominated Sen. Jeff Sessions to be Attorney General. Sessions is anti-cannabis legalization (even for medical use), pro-civil asset forfeiture, and “loves the DEA.”

So, instead of complaining about the lack of race and gender diversity in Trump’s cabinet, how about addressing the real problem – one that impacts pretty much ALL Americans: instead of “draining the swamp,” Trump is filling it up with neocons, establishment Republicans, and lecherous Wall Street creatures.

But what should we expect from a news outlet whose editor Tweeted a photo of a table full of mostly white women that was evidently meant to show workplace diversity, but actually showed a lack of males or people of color on their editorial staff?

Oops.
