Todays sunspot number is 116. NOAA esatimate a 20% chance of M class flares over the next 24 hours and a 0.1% chance of X class over the same period.
The St Partricks day (night) aurora was spectacular, lighting the skies of the high north with magnificent shades of green. A picture of the aurora over Fairbanks Alaska can be seen here.
