65% chance of geomagnetic storms within the next 24 hours

NOAA forecasters estimate that there’s a 65% chance of geomagnetic storms in high latitudes within the next 24 hours. The cause is a CME that will deliver a glancing blow to the Earths magnetic field. Other than auroras the CME is not expected to have any effects.
NOAA estimates a 15% chance of M class flares and a 0.1% chance of X class flares during the same period.
