If you’re like most of us as of late, you struggle with having any sort of faith in the human race. But one simple act of kindness spurred from an accidental text to the wrong number saved a little boy’s life.

When a young woman named Sydney was trying on prom dresses, she did what most girls in the past decade have done: snapped a few pictures and texted those images for opinions on the dress. She took the following picture, then sent it off to the wrong number.

Tony, a father of six children was the recipient of the unintended text message but instead of being upset, he responded kindly and gave the girl encouragement even getting five of his children to give her a “thumbs up” in a return image.

If you’re like most of us as of late, you struggle with having any sort of faith in the human race. But one simple act of kindness spurred from an accidental text to the wrong number might have saved a little boy’s life.

As it turned out, Tony was a father of six, and only five of his children appeared in the photo giving Sydney encouragement because a little boy named Kaizler, the sixth child, was undergoing chemotherapy at a local clinic. One person recognized that little Kaizler was missing from the picture, and asked Twitter to “do its thing” and help the boy.

The accidental text ended up helping young Kaizler in more ways than one. The tweet brought attention to the family’s GoFundMe page they set up for little Kaizler and their fundraising goal was met!

Since the post went viral, over $36,000 has been raised for Kaizler’s treatment. And Tony even sent a thumbs up from the little fighter himself to Sydney as a thank you for making his family internet famous.

You can also help Little Kaizler by sharing this story, the original story written by The Chive, or by donating to him and his family HERE. Keep fighting little Kaizler!
