Ted Cruz Just Lost His Path to the Nomination (Without a Contested Convention)

It’s official. Cruz is just holding out hope for a contested convention in an attempt to make sure Trump doesn’t get the nomination at this point.

There are only 674 delegates left and Cruz is 678 short. Stick a fork in Cruz. He’s done. There’s no possible way he can get nominated now without a contested convention.

His entire function from here on out is to try to take delegates away from Trump so Trump doesn’t get it fair and square either.

Despite the fact that Cruz’s eligibility has been called into question anyway considering he was born in Canada, despite the fact that he’s employed some really shady tactics that should make his supporters question what kind of president he’d even be anyway (not that we’ve had any halfway decent ones since… when? JFK was shot?), and despite the fact that he generally creeps out a large portion of the population because his facial features are unnatural in a way that a doctor described as “unsettling” and “hard to look at” in Psychology Today — Cruz is hoping shenanigans and rule changing and the fact that the establishment loathes Trump will still get him in there somehow.

Via Patriot Rising:

“[Cruz]’s doing everything right. He’s winning first ballot delegates in places like Wyoming and Colorado. He’s inserting his people into Trump’s slots in places like Georgia in successive ballots,” said Ryan Williams, a former spokesman for Mitt Romney’s 2012 campaign. “He needs to keep winning at party conventions and doing as well as he can in the remaining primaries to narrow Trump’s path to 1,237 until it’s impossible.”

“If he can get to a contested convention, I don’t think Trump’s prospects are great,” Williams said, predicting that Trump’s “high water mark” will be on the first ballot.

Gee. Most people wouldn’t exactly label having the rules changed so there’s no normal vote in Colorado and then simply handing the entire basket of delegates to Cruz as “winning,” but whatever…

(Then again, that’s if you still pretend your vote actually matters in presidential elections in America and that somehow this whole thing isn’t a rigged dog and pony show to begin with. Didn’t Bilderberg already give Hillary the nod years ago?)
