Although not Earth-directed, NASA has recorded the very first, very spectacular, few seconds of a CME hurtling away from the Sun and off into space. You can see the movie here.

Sunspots AR2021 and AR 2026 both have magnetic fields that have enough energy to produce M-Class flares. Any action from AR2021 would be squarely Earth facing.

Todays sunspot number is 124. NOAA estimates the chance of an M-Class flare over the next 24 hours at 40% and an X-Class flare at 0.5% over the same period.
