Strong Chance Of Flares During The Next 24 Hours
NOAA says AR1875 poses an increasing threat for X-class flares.
Sunspot AR1875 is growing fast and has the energy that can give rise to strong explosions. NOAA says it poses an increasing threat for X-class flares and give a 5% chance of that happening over the next 24 hours. They estimate a 30% chance of M-class flares during the same period.
Todays sunspot number is 179, the highest we have had in quite a while.
