Oconee nuclear power station in South Carolina has been taken offline after a radioactive leak was discovered.

The leak in the unit 1 containment building was suspected late last week and confirmed on Monday. ONS spokeswoman B.J.Gatten said that less than one tenth of a gallon a minute was leaking though she admitted it is not known how long the leak has been there.
