Last weekend, Saturday Night Live opened with a skit that made fun of the Obamacare administration’s efforts to promote the ACA via social networking.

Here’s the skit:

One can’t help but wonder…is the skit truly making fun of the increasingly desperate pimping of Obamacare that we’ve witnessed in recent months, or is it actually an effort to boost enrollments?  Today IS the O-care deadline.

As Katrina Trinko of The Foundry points out, maybe the skit isn’t entirely unrealistic:

It’s a hilarious skit–but it’s also not outside the realm of possibility that an Obama and Kim Kardashian selfie could happen soon to help promote Obamacare. Because when there isn’t much positive news coming out of the program itself, it makes sense to try to distract and dazzle people with celebrity star power.
