Former Secret Service agent Shaun Bridges, 33, has been sentenced to 71 months in prison for stealing 20,000 bitcoins from Silk Road vendors.

Bridges, an agent with the Baltimore field office, admitted to transferring 20,000 in bitcoins to his personal account in 2013. He later sold them and deposited more than $800,000 into personal investment accounts. As part of his sentence, Bridges has to forfeit $650,000.

Another federal investigator, former DEA agent Carl Mark Force IV, was charged with money laundering, obstruction of justice, and extortion under color of official right for similar crimes, using his position as an agent to take more than $700,000 in bitcoins. Force was sentenced to 78 months in prison after he pled guilty back in July.

But perhaps the biggest take from Silk Road goes to the Justice Department, which auctioned off some $18 million in bitcoins it seized during the investigation back in 2014.
