Scarborough Admits Anti-Trump Wolff Book ‘May Not Have Gotten Every Quote Exactly Right’ [VIDEO]

MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough admitted Michael Wolff’s new book about President Donald Trump “Fire And Fury” may have included misquotes and inaccuracies, but defended it anyway Friday on “Morning Joe.”

Scarborough seemingly forgave the mistakes because Wolff’s assertions matched capitol hill gossip and Washington, D.C.’s political conjecture.

“It seems this morning to be the fact that Michael Wolff may not have gotten every quote exactly right, but it’s the same thing that we’ve all been hearing and politicians on the hill have all been hearing for over a year now,” Scarborough said.

MSNBC congressional correspondent Kasie Hunt supported Scarborough’s take and said she believes Wolff betrayed Steve Bannon’s confidence and published quotes that were meant to be off the record.

“While on the one hand everyone is anxiously devouring the salacious details in this book, no one is fundamentally surprised,” Hunt said. “Even the quotes that were attributed to Steve Bannon I think, were things he was saying off the record privately.”

Breitbart is now reportedly considering firing Bannon due to the fallout from Wolff’s book, but a final decision on his future at the company has yet to be made.
