Shocking footage of a San Antonio police officer body slamming a preteen girl at Rhodes Middle School has recently surfaced. What led up to the encounter has yet to be revealed, however officer Joshua Kehm’s account of this incident is already being challenged. The officer claims that she kicked him, while witnesses say that they were having a polite conversation before he grabbed her.

The girl’s mother says that her daughter is still suffering headaches from the altercation, which happened on March 29th. Officer Kehm is now on paid leave, and both the San Antonio Police Department and the San Antonio Independent School District are investigating the incident. According to a spokesman for the SAISD “It’s very very concerning. We’ve moved quickly to launch a formal investigation both at the police and the administrative level…We need to gather all the details, but also we will not tolerate excessive force in this district.”
