After Jeremy Corbyn was elected the new leader of Britain’s Labour Party, a new generation of young leftists have been inspired by his socialist message.  However, these kids have just experienced their first lesson on how the real world works, after they realized that they would have to pay a $6 fee to visit the grave of their idol, Karl Marx.

Ben Glinieki, a scruffy 24-year-old Marxist who sells a socialist newspaper at Labour rallies, has refused to pay the fee. “Personally, I think it is disgusting. There are no depths of irony, or bad taste, to which capitalists won’t sink if they think they can make money out of it.” The charity that owns the graveyard however, can’t help the fact that Marx chose to buy a plot on private land, rather than be buried in a state sponsored cemetery.

In fact, the grave stands as a stark reminder to Marx’s hypocrisy. This is a man who never held down a real job in his entire life, as he leached off his aristocratic wife and wealthy benefactor, Friedrich Engels. The grandiose grave marker is a testament to the true unfairness of the socialist ideology, and the bourgeois lifestyle of its founder. That’s the real reason why socialists have been so upset by the fee. It’s a constant reminder that the source of their ideology was a fraud.
