How much more politically correct can this nation get before it implodes?

A Maine teacher took to Facebook to rant about how political correctness has doomed this country after her principal forced her to remove her pink Hello Kitty Christmas tree, a tree completely void of religion-specific symbols, from her classroom.

Hello Kitty is pretty offensive, after all.

“It just seems that in our quest to be tolerant of everything, we’ve become intolerant to everything,” an emotional Gordon said in the video below.

Boston.com reported the school took this stance because:

Bangor School Superintendent Betsy Webb told WLBZ-TV in a statement that the school department aims to maintain consistency with its approach to educate students to become global citizens.

Uh-huh. Global citizens who never have a free thought their entire lives because it might offend someone.

It was only after Maine Congressman Bruce Poliquin got involved:

… that the superintendent finally let Gordon have her pink, religion-nonspecific Christmas tree back.
