Plan To Sue Obama Approved By House of Representatives: Impeachment to Follow?

“President Obama swore an oath to uphold the Constitution—an oath he has not fully lived up to. Today, the House took an important step to defend the Constitution and hold the president accountable.”

The House of Representatives has approved a Republican based plan to sue Barack Obama. The election-season lawsuit is based on the contention that Obama exceeded his constitutional powers in the enforcement of Obamacare, The Affordable Care Act.

Democrats are calling the move a ‘stunt’ but some privately fear it may be the forerunner of a Republican effort to impeach the president.

Republicans feel Obama is diverting power from Congress to the presidency, and that this is a dangerous shift. They state that he has acted illegally changing the healthcare laws by using executive actions that bypass Congress.

Following the vote, National Republican Congressional Committee Chairman Greg Walden issued  a statement saying,
