Obama Engineers Israeli Strike On Iran

Reports that Iran is just weeks away from being able to build a nuclear weapon has not been in the news to the extent that you would expect it to be. The fact that they have the capability of making dozens of nuclear warheads in a short space of time have been kept even quieter.

Obama Engineers Israeli Strike On Iran

Think back a couple of months. Obama was pushing hard for military intervention in Syria. The so-called chemical weapons atrocity was stepping over his red line he said. It was only when some politicians opposed him, American people spoke up. And when allied countries said “well, no, we’re not going to join you” that John Kerry was dispatched, and the situation was defused. Chemical weapons will be destroyed, and the West jumps up and down with what seems like delight.

Move on to Iran. Their nuclear program has been an ongoing problem for years. The United States and its allies have repeatedly threatened to solve the problem and repeatedly failed. Their bully boy tactics, their prerogative of owning nuclear weapons themselves but not wanting Iran to have them is as plain as the nose on your face. Military intervention has, and probably is still being considered…in private.

Yet here we are with Obama and company talking of relaxation of the sanctions that are already in place and delaying the imposition of new ones. The Israelis are not at all happy about this. They want to hit the Iranian nuclear facilities, and they are getting impatient.

Netanyahu has made it clear time and time again that he will strike Iran if he feels the need, and he will do it with or without American help.

This is exactly what Obama wants him to do. He wants Israel to strike so his hands are clean. When the resulting conflict spreads across the Middle East, as it’s likely to do, the United States, and their western allies will get involved. This will be done under the guise of limiting the effects of a Middle Eastern war, of preventing its spread, of making sure a widespread Middle Eastern conflict does not tun into world war. All the talk about a rift between Israel and the United States would be swept aside if Israel came under attack from Iran, even if it was a retaliatory strike.

Yaakov Lappin writing for Breitbart explores how Obama’s actions may actually force Israel into a strike on Tehran.

Two things are clear at this point. Iran is not going to abandon its nuclear program and Israel is not going to wait forever. Netanyahu has continued to try and rally international support for military intervention in Iran but has made it quite clear that he will not wait forever.

Reports that Iran is just weeks away from being able to build a nuclear weapon has not been in the news to the extent that you would expect it to be. The fact that they have the capability of making dozens of nuclear warheads in a short space of time have been kept even quieter. Listen to what John Bolton, former US ambassador to the United nations, has to say.

Will Iran’s ability to make dozens of nuclear warheads be what finally pushes Israel into a pre-emptive strike? Only Israel knows the answer to that but if they do strike there’s the distinct possibility that the engagement will escalate. Nations outside the region will be polarized depending on their politics and their ties to Israel.

Terrorism will increase across the West as aggrieved parties seek to hurt Israeli interests and those of the countries and people that support her.

Benjamin Netanyahu may well end up being the man, who in future history, is credited with starting World War Three, something Barack Obama is very keen to avoid.
