Obama Confronted by Worker Who Got His Hours Cut Due to Obamacare
To avoid directly responding to Obamacare criticism, the president shifted the focus towards a push to raise the federal minimum wage.
During the last White House Google hangout, fry cook Darnell Summers told Obama he had his hours cut due to the President’s healthcare law.
“My question to you is, what can you and Congress do to help people as myself in this situation survive? Because with $7.25 and we were broken down to part-time to avoid paying health insurance, we can’t survive, it’s not livin’,” Summers said.
Instead of responding to the man’s comments about Obamacare (the whole reason, like so many other working poor Americans, that the guy’s hours were cut), the president shifted the focus towards a push to raise the federal minimum wage.
