So, is it just a bit of harmless fun or are the powers that be trying to indoctrinate our children by using Santa to showcase their weaponry? You decide.

Since 1955 NORAD (North American Aerospace Defense Command) has run a program that allows children to track Santa as he works his way around the globe delivering gifts.

This year there is a little added extra on the site. Santa is accompanied by fighter planes.

Jeff Davis, Navy Captain said:

“We wanted to let folks know that, hey, this is a NORAD video, and we’re the military and this is our mission,”

Not everyone is pleased about the change. Allen Kanner, a child psychologist, said that NORAD is “completely out of line” for linking Christmas to the military.

“Children associate Santa with gifts and fun and everything else that is positive about Christmas, they are associating this with the military in children’s minds.”

Making light of the issue, a NORAD intelligence officer said:

“…intel can confirm that Jack Frost and the Abominable Snowman will not be a threat.”

You can the see NORAD Santa videos here. So, is it just a bit of harmless fun or are the powers that be trying to indoctrinate our children by using Santa to showcase their weaponry? You decide.
