No Joke: Hillary Campaign Attempts to Censor Comedy Club

Editor’s Comment: It is clear that the singular vision of the Hillary campaign to gain the highest office in the land will include many levels of tyranny, and every protected and cherished right of Americans is under threat. This report proves that the Clintons cannot take a joke.

A chilling new report from Judicial Watch alleges the Hillary Clinton campaign contacted the world-famous Laugh Factory in the heart of Hollywood and demanded that a new video posted to their webpage be taken down. The campaign also requested personal contact info for the five performers who appeared in the recent sketch comedy/standup performance.

The video lampoons presidential candidate Hillary Clinton, covering a variety of subjects, including her age, wardrobe, sexual orientation, her husband and former president Bill Clinton, and Monica Lewinsky.

Long-time owner of the Laugh Factory, comedy legend Jamie Masada, said, “They threatened me. I have received complaints before but never a call like this, threatening to put me out of business if I don’t cut the video.”

Appropriately, the video is entitled “Hillary Clinton vs. the First Amendment at the Laugh Factory.”

Here’s the video that proved too hot for the campaign:

Masada declined to name the campaign staffer who called him but said the person was a “prominent” figure inside the campaign. This person allegedly demanded that the video, which he called disgusting, be taken down and that the personal contact information for the performers who appeared in it — comedians Mike Marino, Dom Irrera, Greg Fitzsimmons, Tiffany Haddish, and Brian Holtzman — be handed over.

In an interview on KHVH-AM News Radio, Masada admits it’s possible he was pranked and says the person who called him simply identified himself as ‘John.’ According to Masada, the man said the content would be bad for his business and asked him, “Who put you up this?” Masada, paraphrasing his answer, said, “A comedian has rights. We make fun of every politician.”

If the correspondence did, indeed, come from a Clinton operative, one can only wonder whether the former Secretary of State saw the video and approved of the request for censorship. If so, Clinton could really take a lesson from Dwight D. Eisenhower, who once said, “A sense of humor is part of the art of leadership, of getting along with people, of getting things done.”
