So instead of bickering with each other, now Trump and McCain will one-up each other in a showdown that should be televised, and called “There Can Be Only One.”
Apparently now it’s a contest to see which GOP politician has been treated the worst during their careers. Senator John McCain bashed president Donald Trump, declaring that he has suffered worse treatments than the president.
Trump made headlines Wednesday during his address to graduates of the U.S. Coast Guard Academy for saying that no politician has ever received worse treatment than he has. “Look at the way I’ve been treated lately, especially by the media,” Trump said during his speech. “No politician in history — and I say this with great surety — has been treated worse or more unfairly.” Trump has, in all honesty, been treated rather harshly by the left-leaning media.
Early Thursday, the president lashed out after the naming of a special counsel to oversee the investigation into ties between Russia and his campaign, saying he was the victim of the “single greatest witch hunt” in American political history.
This is the single greatest witch hunt of a politician in American history!
And he’s probably right on this one. There has never been an attempt to destroy an American president in the way that liberals are attempting to destroy Trump. Especially considering there was no “special counsel” when Barack Obama needed a message delivered to Vladimir Putin, Russia’s president.
Political rivals have short memories though, while those who have no side look on and laugh at the joke the entire government has become. And that joke didn’t start with Donald Trump or Barack Obama, but those two have definitely taken political games to a whole new level of insanity.
McCain was, in all fairness, treated rather poorly too, especially back in 2008. He was up against Barack Obama during the 2008 election. Running against the left’s hero, lord, and savior made him the butt of nasty jokes. So instead of bickering with each other, now Trump and McCain will one-up each other in a showdown that should be televised, and called “There Can Be Only One.” Politics on both sides of the aisle are becoming more ridiculous by the day.
