Massive Island of Volcanic Rock Discovered Floating Off New Zealand Coast; Covers 10,000 Square Miles; Third Confirmed Eruption this Week

Things are heating up in the South Pacific and New Zealand, with three separate eruptions now having taken place just this week. The NZ Navy has discovered a massive island of pumice so large that whatever caused it may have been 20 times larger than the Mt. Saint Helens explosion that rocked America in 1980.

Massive Island of Volcanic Rock Discovered Floating Off New Zealand Coast; Covers 10,000 Square Miles; Third Confirmed Eruption this Week

Is this business as usual for the ring of fire, or is something going on?

Though some argue that the three volcanic eruptions in the vicinity are unrelated, others suggest that a large-scale volcanic event is occuring deep underwater, and the evidence has just floated to the top of the ocean.

The New Zealand Navy has discovered a massive “island” of pumice, the quick cooling rock left over from a volcanic eruption, floating in the South Pacific. According to the Navy, the island spans some 250 nautical miles in length and covers nearly 10,000 square miles.

One informed commentor at the SHTFplan web site suggested that whatever happened (or is happening) underwater must have been huge, because that much ash (in this case, pumice) would be equivalent to roughly 21 cubic miles. The Mount St. Helens eruption on May 18, 1980 spewed approximately 1 cubic mile of ash when it erupted.

Stan and Holly Deyo of StanDeyo.com have been keeping readers abreast of the volcanic activity occurring around the world in recent months and have provided video footage of the Tongariro eruption in New Zealand which occurred earlier this week. It’s the first time the volcano has erupted since the 1800’s.

The hits just keep on coming this week in New Zealand. We’re seen eruptions from both Tongariro and White Island this week – and White Island seems to be picking up the pace. Last night, reports of volcanic lightning from White Island abounded along the Bay of Plenty and a 300 meter eruptive plume was confirmed for the volcano

With the Tongariro and White Island eruptions, and now the pumice remnants, we have three confirmed events having occurred in the region in the last week.

Things are definitely heating it up in New Zealand and the South Pacific, and given recent reports, which take into account celestial planetary alignments and other factors, we’re not done yet. More activity has been predicted for August 12th through August 18th based on geocentric and heliocentric planetary conjunctions and oppositions.
