Malfunction at Airport Causes Carcinogenic Foam to Flood CA Streets, 5′ Deep in Some Places (videos)

In other news, apparently this happened.

According to ABC7 and the San Jose Fire Department, something malfunctioned in a new hanger at San Jose airport, leading to a flood of foam coming out of the hangar’s vents around 1:30 this afternoon. It’s now ebbing down the street and is five feet deep in some areas.

The foam is a fire retardant that can cause skin irritation. The fire department is warning people not to go into the foam because it’s a chemical known to cause cancer.

This reminds us of that one time when mysterious green foam began rising up out of the sewer vents in Bluffdale, Utah, the city near the NSA’s massive $3 billion desert spy hub.
