Libertarian Party Candidate Gave a Striptease for C-SPAN

One of the least desirable aspects of the American political system, is the distinct lack of choices. The system is a bit rigged against third parties, which typically struggle to capture more than a sliver of the electorate. However, the people running these parties aren’t doing themselves any favors either.

Take the Libertarian Party for instance, which just elected the lukewarm libertarian Gary Johnson as their presidential candidate. Following the vote, a candidate for the chairman of the party named James Weeks, took to the stage and gave the audience a striptease, all while being broadcast on C-SPAN. He then apologized amidst the near unanimous boos from the audience, and announced that he was abandoning his campaign.

The Libertarian Party has long been a joke in American politics. Party members were probably hoping to put their best foot forward during an election cycle that has propelled Hillary and Trump to the forefront; the two most hated and controversial presidential candidates in recent memory. They needed to be taken seriously by uncertain voters now more than ever.

Looks like that isn’t going to happen.
