Kiddie Perv Coach Sandusky Wants His Pension Back

Convicted scumbag child molester Jerry Sandusky is trying to get back the $4,900 a month pension he lost when he was sent to jail in October 2012 on 45 counts of child sexual abuse.

Sandusky testified today for nearly three hours before a hearing examiner who will decide if his pension should be reinstated.

The hearing focused on circumstances surrounding Sandusky’s retirement from the university in 1999 and the links between Penn State and The Second Mile charity for youth he founded.

USA Today reports:

The State Employees’ Retirement System (SERS) ruled that his convictions for involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and indecent assault fell under Pennsylvania’s Public Employee Pension Forfeiture Act. Sandusky had opted to participate in the state-sponsored retirement system while at Penn State, which is a “state-related” university, but he was not a state employee.

The determining factor is if Sandusky’s relationship with the university after his retirement makes him a “de facto” employee of Penn State at the time he committed the crimes.

It will take several months for Michael Bangs, the hearing examiner, to make his recommendation to the retirement board.  Sandusky can appeal to Commonwealth Court if the board does not rule in his favor.

Sandusky is still waiting to hear if the state Supreme Court will consider his criminal appeal.
