Kanye West: “I Would Have Voted for Trump”
During a concert in San Jose, California, Kanye West surprised a number of his fans by saying that he would have voted for Donald Trump had he voted in this election.
“I told you all I didn’t vote right? … But if I were to have voted, I would have voted for Trump,” said Kanye, adding, “the internet is going to take this out of context.”
Some booed. Some cheered. Some threw shoes and other objects at him.
He told his fans that racism should not be the focus of this election while acknowledging that it is still prevalent.
“This world is racist, okay? Listen, stop being distracted to focus on that as much. It is a fact. We are in a racist country. Period.”
