ISIS Releases Video that Threatens San Francisco and Las Vegas

The video was released on the same day as San Francisco’s annual gay pride parade.

ISIS has just released a video that praised the Orlando night club shooter Omar Mateen, and combines images of the killer with news footage of the attack. The video also included footage of Larossi Abballa, who livestreamed an attack against a French police commander earlier this month.

However, the glorification of these killers by ISIS is not at all surprising. What is surprising is how the video threatens attacks at various locations in the United States. It includes what appears to be cell phone footage taken of Ceaser’s Palace in Las Vegas, as well as several notable locations in San Francisco including the Golden Gate Bridge, the California Street tower, and Powell Street. The video was released on the same day as San Francisco’s annual gay pride parade.

Currently it’s not clear how these video clips were attained. They appear to imply that ISIS sympathizers in the US took the footage, or ISIS could have simply used random videos on the internet that were posted by tourists.

This isn’t the first video of this nature posted by ISIS since the Orlando night club shooting. On June 20th another ISIS fighter posted a video that praised Omar Mateen and called for an attack against Time’s Square.
