Homeland Security Now Training For Funerals? 43 Items Tell The Story
Homeland Security (DHS) put in a solicitation to buy bagpipes and drum supplies, as well as associated sundries to teach Federal Employees to play and write bagpipe music.

Amazing Grace, the mournful wail heard at military funerals, is frequently played on a bagpipe for maximum effect.
And Homeland Security (DHS) wants to buy bagpipes and drum supplies, as well as associated sundries to teach Federal Employees to play and write bagpipe music. All to be delivered to Washington, DC.
This is not a belated April Fools Joke.
The following are the 43 items that DHS has requested to purchase. Please, hold the haggis jokes:

No notice was provided if the solicitation was subject to sequestration limits, which means this will all come to fruition.
Clearly, this is sand in the face of the American Taxpayer.
In September, 2012, DHS requested to buy 12 McLellan bagpipes at the tune of 27,060. For the same price, they could have bought 27 of the same pipes from Amazon.
There is no logical reason to buy 10 more bagpipes. This is either going to be used for graft, or political payback.
This also raises the question: Who’s funeral are they playing at?
