German Police Seize Trump-Shaped Ecstasy Pills

German police have seized around 5,000 ecstasy tablets shaped like the head of United States President Donald Trump. The seizure was worth tens of thousands of euros.

According to CNN, the ecstasy pills were found in a car in Lower Saxony, a state in northwest Germany. The German police have confirmed their discovery in a statement Monday. During a traffic stop over the weekend, highway police in the northwestern German city of Osnabrück uncovered thousands of ecstasy pills made in the likeness of Trump’s head. His last name is also written on the reverse side. If one looks closely at the back of the bill, “Trump” is even scrawled across it directly under the five stars.

“During the search of the vehicle police found about 5,000 ecstasy tablets with the portrait of the American president … the purchase value of the tablets amounts to approximately 11,000 euros (about $12,900); the sales value amounts to approximately 39,000 euros (about $45,800),” the statement said.

The tablets are said to be laced with dangerously high levels of MDMA (a key component of ecstasy, also known as Molly) and are being trafficked from Amsterdam.

Two men, both Austrians, a 51-year-old man and his 17-year-old son appeared in court on Sunday regarding the ecstasy and arrest warrants were issued. The two men told police that they were heading home to Austria after traveling to the Netherlands to supposedly buy a car. They said that the deal on the car had fallen through.

Europeans claim that the pills are reportedly being sold on the darknet with the slogan: “Trump makes partying great again.” British media reported in July that the Trump-shaped drugs were being produced in Amsterdam and trafficked into the country in large amounts.

The market (in this case, the black market) will provide when a need arises. Apparently, Europe has a need for Trump-shaped ecstasy.
