Fox Abruptly Cancels Bill O’Reilly Amid Sexual Harassment Claims; Here’s How We’ll Always Remember Him

Apparently Bill O’Reilly is done. Fox abruptly terminated his contact, wrote him a check for $25 million in severance pay, and moved Tucker Carlson to his slot.

The surprise move comes after O’Reilly just reupped his contract with Fox only last month (which is reportedly where the $25 million came from).

The reason? No one has officially said, but it just miiiight have something to do with new revelations that Fox News has had to pay off at least five women upwards of $13 million in recent years to keep their claims of sexual harassment at the hands of O’Reilly on the hush hush.

O’Reilly of course says he’s innocent and the claims have no merit… but he has also walked away from Fox quickly and quietly, issuing the following statement:

Over the past 20 years at Fox News, I have been extremely proud to launch and lead one of the most successful news programs in history, which has consistently informed and entertained millions of Americans and significantly contributed to building Fox into the dominant news network in television. It is tremendously disheartening that we part ways due to completely unfounded claims. But that is the unfortunate reality many of us in the public eye must live with today. I will always look back on my time at Fox with great pride in the unprecedented success we achieved and with my deepest gratitude to all my dedicated viewers.

I wish only the best for Fox News Channel.

Either way, here is how we will always remember Bill O’Reilly.
